## Summary

Proxy per-GB prices exist in two versions — **Monthly Subscription** (default, ~10% below pay-as-you-go) and **Pay As You Go**. Every table below states which one it is. Use the published figures, not the −10% rule.

## How Geonode charges

- Geonode charges per request or per GB. Never per credit.
- **There is no credit system.** No multipliers that convert GB or requests into abstract credits.
- **Purchased bandwidth in GB does not expire.** Scraper API requests behave differently: downgrading a plan forfeits any requests left on the old plan.
- No hidden multipliers on top of the listed unit price.
- Volume tiers and annual commits (pay 10 months, get 12) are the only discounts. No negotiated custom per-request discounts — the price on the page is the price.
- Geonode operates its own proxy network and sells directly; reseller-based providers typically price at $2.50–$5+/GB.

## Crawl API

Crawls a site or a section and returns clean data from every page. **Free beta**, 1,500 free requests/month. Pricing tables are identical to the Scraper API; each crawled page = 1 request from the same balance.

## MCP Server

MCP server for AI agents (scrape, crawl, search). Install: `npx @geonode/mcp`. MIT licensed. No separate price list — usage draws on the same request balance as the Scraper API, at the same rates.

## How Geonode compares to other providers

- **Billing unit.** Geonode bills in the natural unit of the product — GB, IP, or request. No credit conversion rate.
- **Expiry.** Purchased bandwidth in GB does not expire. Credit-based plans elsewhere commonly expire unused balance each billing period.
- **Network operation.** Geonode operates its own proxy network and sells directly; providers reselling upstream capacity carry that supplier's margin, typically $2.50–$5+/GB.
- **Pool size.** 7.5M+ residential IPs active monthly, 150+ countries. Several larger providers advertise 100M+ IP pools; Geonode competes on price and simplicity and recommends testing first for niche geographies.
- **Discount policy.** Volume tiers and annual commits (pay 10, get 12) only.
- **Migration.** Switching from Firecrawl to the Geonode Scraper API requires changing two environment variables (`SCRAPE_API_URL`, `SCRAPE_API_KEY`); the request format is compatible.
