What is my IP

Check the public IP address used by your connection and view the available network and approximate location details.

What does this IP address tell me?

A public IP address identifies the network connection used to reach an internet service. It is different from a private address used inside your home or office network. Your visible address may change when you switch networks or route a connection through a VPN or proxy.

Why is the location different from where I am?

IP location is an estimate based on network data. A city or map result may point to an internet provider's network location or a VPN or proxy exit location. It should not be treated as your precise physical location.

Why might IPv6 be missing?

This check may not detect an IPv6 address on the connection it uses. That result alone does not prove your device or provider cannot use IPv6. Network configuration and the route taken by the request can affect what is visible.

Does a different IP mean my VPN or proxy is working?

A changed address can show that this request used a different network route. It does not establish that every application uses that route or that your setup prevents all leaks. Check the specific application and connection you intend to use.

Working with a proxy endpoint? Visit Proxy Checker. Looking up an IP address and testing a proxy endpoint are different tasks.

Need a proxy for your application?

Explore residential proxies for applications that need requests routed through proxy IPs. Check the product's targeting options and current plan conditions before choosing a setup.
