Accounts and bans
Automating a normal user account (a self-bot) is forbidden and can get it terminated. Discord may act on every account it can link to you. A different IP per account does not stop that.

Discord has no proxy field in any of its apps. You set the proxy one level up instead: in Proxifier, in the system settings, in Firefox or in a phone proxy app.

How to set up a proxy for Discord
Copy the proxy host, port, username and password from the Geonode dashboard, then pick your device.
Install Proxifier from proxifier.com and open it.
Open Profile > Proxy Servers and click Add.
Enter the host in Address and the port in Port.
Set Protocol to SOCKS Version 5, or HTTPS for an HTTP port.
Enter the proxy username and password and click OK.
Open Profile > Proxification Rules and click Add.
Type Discord in Name, add Discord.exe under Applications, and set Action to the proxy you added.
Click OK, then quit Discord from the system tray and start it again.

Desktop app: in the Proxifier window, check that connections from Discord.exe show your proxy and not Direct.
Browser and phone: open the Geonode What is my IP page in the same Firefox window or on the same phone and confirm it shows the proxy's IP and country.
Open a server with images. If channels and media load, text traffic is going through the proxy.
How to turn the proxy off
Windows: open Profile > Proxification Rules and untick the Discord rule, or quit Proxifier. Mac: turn off the proxy in System Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Details > Proxies. Firefox: go back to Network Settings and select No proxy.
Android: tap Stop in Super Proxy. iPhone and iPad: disconnect in Shadowrocket, and set Configure Proxy to Off if you used the Wi-Fi proxy.
Common Discord proxy problems and fixes
Stuck connecting, or a proxy connection error in the console
- The console shows ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED. The proxy is unreachable, the port is wrong, or a system proxy asks for a password the desktop app cannot send
- Test the proxy with the Geonode proxy checker. On Windows, clear the system proxy and route Discord through Proxifier with the username and password filled in. On a Mac, whitelist your IP so the system proxy needs no password.

- Discord voice needs UDP, and the proxy route carries TCP only, or the network blocks UDP to Discord
- Check that no Proxifier rule blocks UDP for Discord.exe. For calls through the proxy you need a client that sends UDP through SOCKS5 and a Geonode residential proxy with UDP over SOCKS5 enabled. Server admins can also try Voice Channel Settings > Overview > Region Override.

It is a server that relays Discord's traffic, so Discord sees the proxy's IP instead of yours. Discord has no proxy setting of its own, so you set it in Proxifier, the operating system, Firefox or a phone proxy app.
No. None of the Discord apps has a proxy field. The desktop app reads the Windows or macOS system proxy, and the phone apps follow the device's proxy or VPN.
If your country blocks Discord, pick a proxy in a country where it is open, route the app through Proxifier on a computer or a proxy app on a phone, and restart Discord. On a school or work network, Firefox's manual proxy works only if the network lets traffic out to outside proxy ports. Managed Chromebooks usually lock proxy settings. Web-proxy sites break Discord's login and live connection, so discord.com/app won't load properly through them.
