Key facts
TCP connections
Proxifier sends outgoing TCP connections through the proxy. UDP traffic, such as game packets and voice calls, goes out directly.
Turn off the app's own proxy
Set each app to connect directly before you route it through Proxifier. If the app has its own proxy set as well, the traffic is proxied twice and usually fails.
License
Proxifier does not come with proxies. The free trial lasts 31 days. After that you need a perpetual license, which costs $39.95 for one copy on Windows or Mac at proxifier.com.

Which proxy type to use with Proxifier
Proxifier only forwards traffic. The target service still sees the exit IP, and games, marketplaces and social networks can ban accounts for proxy use under their terms, no matter which client routes the connection.

How to set up a proxy in Proxifier
Before you start, get the proxy host, port, username and password, and check whether the port is SOCKS5 or HTTP.
Install the Standard Edition from proxifier.com. The Portable Edition cannot route services or console programs.
Click the Proxifier icon in the system tray to open the main window.
Open Profile > Proxy Servers and click Add.
Enter the host in Address and the port in Port. The Geonode host is proxy.geonode.io.
Under Protocol, select SOCKS Version 5 for a SOCKS5 port, or HTTPS for an HTTP port.
Under Authentication, tick Enable and enter the Username and Password.
For a country or sticky session, change the Username to the format shown in the Geonode dashboard (see Country targeting below).
Click Check to test the proxy, then click OK.
Click Yes when Proxifier asks whether to use this proxy by default. New TCP connections now go through it.
Open Profile > Name Resolution and select Resolve hostnames through proxy, so DNS lookups also go through the proxy.

Start the routed app and watch the Connections list in the Proxifier window. Each line shows the application, the target host, and the rule and proxy it matched.
Open the Geonode What is my IP page in a routed browser. You should see the proxy's IP, not yours.
On Windows, run View > Proxy Checker to test the proxy and its latency outside any app.
How to turn the proxy off
Open Profile > Proxification Rules, set the Default rule's Action to Direct, and untick (or set to Direct) any app rules that point at the proxy.
To quit Proxifier, right-click the tray icon and choose Exit. In the Standard Edition, turn off the run-at-startup option in the File menu if you don't want it to start at login. The Portable Edition never starts on its own.
Common Proxifier proxy problems and fixes
The IP does not change
- You clicked No at the default proxy prompt, so the Default rule is still Direct. Or another rule sends the app direct.
- In Proxification Rules, point the Default rule or the app's own rule at the proxy. The Connections list shows which rule each connection matched.
CauseFixSites load over http:// but not https:// with an HTTP proxy
- The proxy entry uses the HTTP protocol.
- Add the same host and port a second time with Protocol set to HTTPS, and use that entry in your rules.
CauseFixProxifier keeps asking for a login, or the proxy check fails
- The username or password is wrong or empty, and Proxifier asks for the login again each time authentication fails.
- Use the proxy username and password from the Geonode dashboard, not your account email. If Check still fails, run the proxy through the Geonode proxy checker to see whether the proxy itself is down.
CauseFixProxifier warns about an infinite connection loop
- Another proxy client, a VPN or the app's own proxy setting sends traffic back into Proxifier.
- Add a Direct rule for that local proxy program, turn off Handle Direct Connections, and keep Infinite Connection Loop Detection on under Profile > Advanced.
