Why a track is 'not available in your country'
Uploads are global by default. The uploader can limit a track to certain countries under Advanced settings > Geoblocking, for example for licensing reasons, and SoundCloud checks the country of your IP address.
Where SoundCloud is blocked
Russia's regulator Roskomnadzor restricted access to the whole site in October 2022. The block is on the network, so the proxy has to be outside Russia.
Terms of Use and Monetization Terms
SoundCloud's Terms of Use ban bots, scripts and other automated means that play content, add followers or act for your account, and any service that inflates popularity. Under its Monetization Terms it can reset play counts on affected tracks, and a suspended subscriber gets no refund for the unused period.

How to set up a proxy for SoundCloud
Before you start, copy the proxy host, port, username and password from your Geonode dashboard.
Open Settings > Network & internet > Proxy.
Under Manual proxy setup, click Set up next to Use a proxy server.
Turn on Use a proxy server.
Enter the host in Proxy IP address and the number in Port.
Tick Don't use the proxy server for local (intranet) addresses if you use a local printer or NAS.
Click Save.
Open soundcloud.com in Chrome or Edge and type the proxy username and password when the browser asks.

Open Geonode's What is my IP page in the same browser or on the same phone. It should show the proxy IP and its country.
Reload the track that showed 'not available in your country'. If it plays now, SoundCloud sees the proxy country.
Play a long mix for a few minutes and skip ahead twice. If playback resumes within a second or two, the proxy is fast enough.
How to turn the proxy off
Windows: in Settings > Network & internet > Proxy, click Edit next to Use a proxy server and switch it off. macOS: switch off Secure web proxy under Details > Proxies. iPhone: set Configure Proxy back to Off.
Android: tap Disconnect in the proxy client app.
Common SoundCloud proxy problems and fixes
The track is still 'not available in your country'
- The browser or app is not using the proxy, or the proxy country is also outside the uploader's list
- If What is my IP shows the proxy, switch to the uploader's home country, which is the one most often allowed.

- Audio arrives in small chunks, and a slow or rotating proxy drops some of them
- Use a sticky session instead of a new IP per request, and choose a proxy country closer to you.

- Wrong username or password, or a stray space pasted with them
- Re-enter the proxy credentials from the Geonode dashboard by hand. Your Geonode account login does not work here.

No. Neither soundcloud.com nor the SoundCloud apps have a proxy field. Put the proxy in Windows, macOS or iPhone Wi-Fi settings, in a browser extension, or in a proxy client app on the phone.
Yes. A proxy in an allowed country plays a track the uploader limited by territory. Where the whole site is blocked, as in Russia since October 2022, a proxy outside the country opens it. A proxy will not bring back a track that was removed.
Geonode's free proxy list has HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 proxies you can filter by country. They are shared and short-lived. Use one to test the setup, not for hours of listening.
A web proxy site loads SoundCloud on its own server, so its operator sees every page you open and any password you type there. Listen without signing in, or use a proxy you set up yourself.
