Target, or the Target Corporation, is a department store chain that’s based in America and is one of its largest retailers. It has 2,000 stores scattered across all the states of America and also has a website and a mobile app for users to shop online. The online website has all the merchandise from its stores and shoppers can have it delivered straight to their home. The online Target store even has some discounts and reduced prices to incentivize customers into purchasing online.

To fully optimize online shopping at Target, you would need the help of a Target proxy as a proxy would act as a shield between your device and the internet. Any website you visit would only be able to see the IP address of the proxy server. Your own IP address would be hidden so hackers or people with malicious intent will not be able to get any of your identifiable information. This is especially true if you’re on an unprotected wi-fi network.

If you want to quickly purchase limited-edition items through the use of a bot, then you would need the help of a Target proxy to prevent your IP address from being banned. Most websites have strict anti-bot policies, so if they recognized that you’re using bot then they would immediately ban your account. A Target proxy helps make your bot traffic appear like human traffic.

A Target proxy would also be useful if you want to change the location of your IP. IF there’s a limited discount that is only available in a certain region, then you can use Target proxies to change your location and get that discount.

Let’s set up a Target proxy server.

Note: Make sure that the web browser you’re using for Target is set to automatically copy your computer’s proxy settings. Google Chrome automatically does this, so it’s recommended to use it.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Select which proxy IP protocol you want to configure. This depends on which protocols your proxy service provider offers.
  2. Turn on Secure Web Proxy
  3. Input the Proxy Server Address and Port Number
  4. Click OK to save the configurations

Note: You may be prompted for your Mac user password to save your settings.

For Mobile:

To set up a mobile Target proxy server, simply change your phone’s proxy settings. The Target app will automatically copy your phone’s proxy settings whenever you use it. This is applicable for both Android and iOS. Here’s a thorough guide for Android and another one for iPhone.

Congratulations! You have now finished configuring a Target proxy server. Note that the first time you visit it, there will be a pop up asking for your login credentials.
