How To Use Proxies With ZipRecruiter

ZipRecruiter is an online employment marketplace where employers can find new hires and job seekers can look for employment. It has an AI matching technology that analyzes data to help employers find the best person to hire and for job seekers to find the best job based on their qualifications. ZipRecruiter is the highest rated hiring website in the United states with over 110 million job seekers using it to find jobs.

As a popular employment website, ZipRecruiter is filled with valuable information that’s highly sought after. This data is used for various purposes, whether it be for data analysis, finding industry leads, tracking your competitors, and many more. Extracting all that data though would take a lot of time and effort. You need to use a web scraping tool to do the job easier and faster.

Using a bot for web scraping though is highly restricted by most sites. In fact, your account and IP address would be immediately banned and blocked if the website discovered that you’re using a scraper bot. To not get banned, you need to pair your web scraping bot with a ZipRecruiter proxy.

A ZipRecruiter proxy will handle all of your web requests for you and act as a gateway between your device and the internet. This means that any website you visit will only be able to see the IP address of the proxy server and not your own. By continuously rotating proxies, your bot would have a different IP address each time it sends a number of requests which fools any website into thinking that your requests are from genuine users and not from a bot.

Let’s set up a ZipRecruiter proxy server.

_Note: Make sure that the web browser you’re using for ZipRecruiter is set to automatically copy your computer’s proxy settings. Google Chrome automatically does this, so it’s recommended to use it. _
