Residential proxies
from $0.27/GB
Give each card its own port and a -country- code in the username; sticky ports keep one IP for up to 24 hours.
FoxyProxy works on
Where a proxy list goes
FoxyProxy ships with no proxies. Paste host:port or host:port:user:pass lines into Options > Import > Import Proxy List, with socks5:// before SOCKS5 lines, or add one server with Add on the Proxies tab.
Standard or Basic
Basic is Standard without Proxy by Patterns, Include Host and Exclude Host. The Chrome and Edge stores list Standard as plain FoxyProxy, and Edge has no Basic build.
One settings file for both builds
Export on the Options tab saves FoxyProxy_YYYY-MM-DD.json, which both the Chrome and Firefox builds can import.
The Type menu lists HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4 and SOCKS5, plus PAC, DIRECT and a Chrome-only QUIC. Sites block or allow the exit IP whatever the type.
| Name | Works In | Auth | Blocking Resistance | Best For | Where To Get |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HTTP | All supported browsers, desktop and Android | Username and Password. Leave one blank and the browser asks instead | The hop to the proxy is unencrypted | Paid proxies in every browser | Geonode ports 9000-9010 and 10000-10900, plus free list HTTP rows |
| HTTPS | All supported browsers | Same fields as HTTP | The hop to the proxy uses TLS | Encrypting the link to the proxy | Ask your provider for a proxy port that accepts TLS |
| SOCKS5 | Firefox with a login. Chrome, Edge and Brave without one | Sent by Firefox only | The proxy looks up site names (in Firefox, while Proxy DNS is on) | Firefox entries and free SOCKS5 rows | Geonode ports 11000-11010 and 12000-12010, plus free list SOCKS5 rows |
| SOCKS4 | All supported browsers | None. FoxyProxy greys out the login fields | Chrome looks up site names on your own connection and reaches IPv4 sites only | Testing public SOCKS4 entries | Geonode free list only |
FoxyProxy chooses which requests use a proxy, and sites see only that proxy's exit IP. Residential suits patterns that cover sign-ins or shops.

Assigned IPs suit a pattern that sends one site, such as a seller dashboard, through the same address.
from $0.14/GB
Suits patterns that only read public pages in another region, with no sign-in.
Free
Public and short-lived: fine for checking that a pattern matches, not for anything with a password.

Click Save, then select the entry in the toolbar popup.
Optional: allow FoxyProxy in private windows (Allow in Incognito in Chrome, Allow in InPrivate in Edge, Allow in Private in Brave), then choose an Incognito proxy on the Options tab.
Check detailed instructions on our blog:
Read the blog postWith one entry selected, click IP in the popup to see the IP, city and country FoxyProxy's server detects.
In Proxy by Patterns mode, IP shows your real address unless a pattern covers getfoxyproxy.org. Test URLs on the Pattern Tester tab instead.
In Firefox, the Log tab shows which proxy handled each request. Chrome leaves those columns empty.
Click Disable at the top of the toolbar popup.
Chrome, Edge and Brave then use the system proxy. Firefox uses its own Connection Settings, and a proxy set there stays on.
Firefox Tab and Container proxies, and an Incognito proxy set on the Options tab, keep working after Disable until those menus are blank.
